I have extensive experience recruiting within the ServiceNow industry having worked internally for a ServiceNow Consultancy and for an agency representing multiple clients. I am an individual who has a thirst for knowledge and as such wanted to immerse myself in the industry as much as possible. I have done this by attending a lot of BCS events on ITSM in general as well as more specific topics such as a talk by Ariel Gordon from ServiceNow around how to build a service aware CMDB. I have also attended ExperienceNow, AccelerateNow and NowForum in order to gain a greater understanding of the platform and how it is used and finally I have been completing JavaScript for beginners with Code Academy. This may seem to some a little excessive, but I wanted to gain a level of knowledge that allowed me to ask both clients and candidates the right questions in order to find people that have the right skills for the specific projects that they are recruiting for. I now understand how many modules there are in ServiceNow, what technologies are used to develop them and explain why I am passionate in candidates’ technical capabilities in order to secure interviews for people who may not have gained one based on their CV. This is the basis on which I have founded Momentum Consultancy Group, I wanted to create a company that can offer a specialist recruitment partnership to companies in the ServiceNow industry. We understand that every client and candidate have individual needs and are adaptable to this providing a bespoke service to every individual.

I started my career working internally for a Home Care company for 5 years within the HR and Admin department on an Apprenticeship which soon turned into full-time employment. I participated in different tasks, but my favourite aspect of the role was Recruitment, which is why I chose such a career choice and have never looked back. Having completed two NVQ’s in Business Administration and a CIPD HR course I then went on to pursue a career in IT Recruitment working for a small but established Recruitment Agency. I liked the challenges that IT Recruitment offered and the opportunity to be able to provide industry advice and guidance and to help candidates with their next career move. One aspect of the role did frustrate me, I wasn’t an expert and because of the variety of roles I was working on, was unable to provide true expert advice. Momentum Consultancy Group has given me the opportunity to truly embrace a market and give me the chance to become a true expert in a field that I enjoy. Having already attended my 1st Now Forum and being involved in extensive research on ServiceNow I feel more than confident working in this area. I am now able to provide expert advice to both candidates and clients from a consultative perspective. For me, not just understanding the candidate’s technical capabilities is important but their aspirations and goals is just as important in assisting them to find the right role. In the same case, understanding my clients goals is just as important and I have the industry and product knowledge to find them the right candidates to fit in with what they want to achieve.
