I started my career working internally for a Home Care company for 5 years within the HR and Admin department on an Apprenticeship which soon turned into full-time employment. I participated in different tasks, but my favourite aspect of the role was Recruitment, which is why I chose such a career choice and have never looked back.
Having completed two NVQ’s in Business Administration and a CIPD HR course I then went on to pursue a career in IT Recruitment working for a small but established Recruitment Agency. I liked the challenges that IT Recruitment offered and the opportunity to be able to provide industry advice and guidance and to help candidates with their next career move. One aspect of the role did frustrate me, I wasn’t an expert and because of the variety of roles I was working on, was unable to provide true expert advice.
Momentum Consultancy Group has given me the opportunity to truly embrace a market and give me the chance to become a true expert in a field that I enjoy. Having already attended my 1st Now Forum and being involved in extensive research on ServiceNow I feel more than confident working in this area.
I am now able to provide expert advice to both candidates and clients from a consultative perspective. For me, not just understanding the candidate’s technical capabilities is important but their aspirations and goals is just as important in assisting them to find the right role. In the same case, understanding my clients goals is just as important and I have the industry and product knowledge to find them the right candidates to fit in with what they want to achieve.
